Localbooker highly values the protection of your personal data. We process your personal data in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, hereafter the “GDPR”).
In this Privacy Statement, we explain the types of personal data we collect, what we do with it, and the purposes and legal bases on which we collect this data. This Privacy Statement may be updated from time to time, so we recommend consulting it regularly at Localbooker. The Privacy Statement was last updated on November 11, 2024. If you have any questions after reading our Privacy Statement, please contact our Helpdesk via helpdesk@localbooker.nl

1. Who is responsible for processing your personal data?
The private limited company Allyourz B.V., registered at (4331 BM) Middelburg, Bogardstraat 19, and with an office at (4331 BH) Middelburg, Groenmarkt 13, registered under Chamber of Commerce number 78394740, is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this Privacy Statement.

2. What are personal data, how do we obtain them, and from whom do we process them?
Personal data is any information that can be traced back to an identified or identifiable natural person. This means that information either directly relates to you or can be linked to you, such as your name, phone number, or (email) address. Additionally, data such as your IP address or booking history is unique to you and therefore considered personal data.
We obtain data either directly from you or from third parties. When you visit one of our websites (hereafter referred to as the “platform”), create an account, or contact our Helpdesk, we receive your data directly. In other cases, we may receive your personal data from a third party, such as when someone makes a booking on your behalf via Localbooker. We may also receive data from other parties if you have authorized them to share specific data with us.
This Privacy Statement applies to all personal data that Localbooker processes from anyone who has had direct or indirect contact with Localbooker, such as visitors to our platform, contacts of (business) relations, and individuals making a booking via Localbooker.

3. What personal data do we collect from you, for what purposes, on what legal basis, and how long is this data retained?
a. Data for processing your booking
If you make a booking via Localbooker, we require specific information to ensure that you can use what you have booked and keep you informed about your booking. This data is also necessary for any changes or cancellations.
For this purpose, we collect your name, address, email address, date of birth, and phone number.
The legal basis for these processes is the execution of the agreement you have entered into with a provider of a booking object on our platform (pre-contractual relationship). If you make a booking without logging into your account, we retain your data for up to eighteen (18) months after the booking to address any questions and service requests.

Payments via Stripe
If you pay (part of) your booking through the platform, the payment is processed by our payment service provider, Stripe Inc. (hereafter “Stripe”). In this case, Localbooker and Stripe act as independent data controllers for your personal data. Localbooker, as the data controller for the booking made on our platform, requests your name, address, email address, date of birth, and phone number. Localbooker acts as an intermediary for Stripe and forwards this data to Stripe to process your payment. The legal basis here is the execution of the agreement (pre-contractual relationship).
Stripe acts as the data controller for the payment process and uses the aforementioned data. You can view Stripe’s privacy policy here.
We do not process payment data. However, we process information such as which part of the booking was paid via Stripe and the payment date. We use this data to complete your booking. The legal basis for processing your personal data is the execution of the agreement with a provider on our platform.
We may also use your data to analyze and improve our services. The legal basis for this is Localbooker’s legitimate interest in understanding how our services are used to improve and optimize them.

d. Data on Your Communication with the Business through Our Platform
We provide a digital communication facility on our platform that enables you and the business to connect digitally through your accounts.
All communication that takes place via the platform is stored by us for up to two years after you have completed your booking. We may view and use this communication to assess whether you and/or the business are meeting the agreements made with us, to ensure the quality of the business on our platform, to detect and/or prevent fraud, and to initiate and analyze process improvements. The legal basis for these processing activities is the fulfillment of the agreement you have entered into with one of the providers of a booking item on our platform (pre-contractual relationship), as well as our legitimate interest in preventing, detecting, and combating fraud and abuse.
e. Data to Help You Make the Most of Your Free Time in Zeeland
Our platform offers a wealth of information. You can find inspiration on a variety of ways to make the most of your leisure time in Zeeland, including making various bookings. We aim to guide you in navigating this information.
First and foremost, we ensure that our platform functions properly so that you can enjoy an optimal experience and, if desired, make bookings. For this, we need specific information, such as the type of internet browser you use, the settings of the operating system on your mobile device or computer from which you visit us, the pages you view on our website, and any language settings.
We aim to make our platform as relevant as possible for you. To tailor what we show to your personal preferences, we gather your search, booking, and click behavior on our platform.
To make things as easy as possible for you, we store data in your account as long as you remain active on our platform. If you have not logged in for five (5) years, we will delete all your data. Of course, you can also request that we delete your data at any time.

Enhancing Your Experience Using General Information and Statistics
When you view content on our platform or make a booking, you may also see other content and/or booking items that we recommend (for example, under the section “You May Also Like”). These recommendations are based on the content or page you previously viewed and are currently viewing and/or the search queries you entered. We know through algorithms and statistics that other visitors similar to you were also interested in this content or booking items.
Personalization Based on Your Account Data and Search, Booking, and Click Behavior
If you are logged in (your name will appear at the top of the platform in that case), we can make the content and the displayed booking items even more personalized for you. Based on your past bookings and interests, we can offer relevant recommendations. We show you what we believe might interest you on our platform, based on your previous searches or bookings, items added to your favorites, and the content you previously viewed on our platform. We also take into account previous bookings you made through our platform. Based on this information, we can send you special offers tailored to your preferences, interests, or past bookings via email, on our platform, and on third-party websites. We do not use this information to show you different prices than those shown to others.
This personalization is based on your search, booking, and click behavior, which we collect using cookie techniques and information from your account. This helps you find what you are looking for faster and avoids content or booking items that are irrelevant to you. If you do not wish to receive personalized recommendations, you can turn them off.
Preferences
You can indicate various preferences on our platform. For example, you can choose to be kept informed or add content or booking items to your favorites. You can adjust or disable these preferences at any time in your account.
f. Data for Marketing
Personalized Emails
If you have created an account, we may share offers, recommendations, tips, special deals, or news with you via email. If you have also made one or more bookings, we may email you with suggestions and information regarding your booking and tips on what else you might enjoy in Zeeland related to your booking. These personalized recommendations are based on your preferences, interests, and bookings. Naturally, we will not do this if you have indicated in your account that you do not wish to receive such emails. In your account, you can also specify what types of emails you would like to receive.
Our emails and newsletters are personalized through the use of cookies and similar techniques, such as link tracking. This enables us to see whether you open our emails and which links you click within those emails. We also recognize you when you access our platform through such a link. This allows us to analyze whether an email is widely read, determine actions taken as a result, and measure the effectiveness of our email messages. If you give us permission, we can also use this information to make our emails more personalized and therefore more relevant to you. The frequency of emails may depend on how often you open an email and your click behavior on our platform.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in your account. We will store your data related to these mailings until you indicate that you no longer wish to receive messages. This can be done in your account or by using the link at the bottom of each message.
Personalized Advertisements
We may show you ads on our platform and on other websites. This is based on your previous visits to our platform and third-party websites. Your search, booking, and click behavior is collected using cookie techniques and linked to your mobile device or computer. We use this data only if you have given consent for cookies. Cookies have a limited retention period, which varies by cookie. Read more about cookies and how to set your cookie preferences in our Cookie Policy.

Cookies
We also use cookies and similar techniques, such as link tracking. Through link tracking, we can see whether you open our emails and which hyperlinks you click in those emails. This way, we recognize you when you access our platform through such a hyperlink.
We use cookies and similar techniques to enhance the user-friendliness of our platform, optimize your experience with our services, personalize information for you, recognize you during future visits, secure the platform, and provide offers and information that may interest you – including through other channels.
The legal basis for using your data obtained through cookies (excluding functional cookies and those with limited privacy impact) and similar techniques is your consent. Read more in our Cookie Policy about which cookies are set, the purposes they serve, and which parties place them. You can also withdraw your consent or adjust your cookie preferences at any time via the link at the bottom of our platform. We retain your (personal) data collected via cookies and similar techniques for up to two (2) years.
g. Social media
We are present on various social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. If you follow us on social media or communicate with or about us via social media, we may gain access to (some of) your public profile information. If you share information about us through social media, your data may become visible on those social media platforms. We also follow social media channels and may access data about you from social media in that way. We advise you to carefully review the privacy policies of the social media platforms where you have an account, so that you know how your data is used and how you can change your settings if desired.
We can track how often and by whom a particular post of ours is shared and liked on social media. Based on this, we can analyze the reach of our social media activities and try to improve user satisfaction with our platform. We can also monitor whether, and if so, which messages are posted about us on social media channels and (other) websites. In this context, we process the data necessary to optimize the content of our social media activities as much as possible, such as profile information from social media, content and messages viewed and posted regarding us, and the stored metadata.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in improving and optimizing our services and social media activities.
You can read more about the social media cookies we use in our Cookie Policy.
h. Data to combat fraud
In the event of (suspected) fraud and/or unauthorized access, we may take measures. For this reason, we collect personal data (including IP addresses and search, booking, and click behavior).
When there is clear evidence of fraud or theft, we will retain certain related data. We do this for a period of two (2) years after we have discovered fraud or theft. If we have reported to the police, we have a retention period of up to five (5) years.
The data may also be used to recognize and detect fraud. The basis for this is our and/or third parties’ legitimate interest in investigating, preventing, and combating fraud and abuse.

4. To whom does Localbooker provide your data?
a. To businesses
When you make a booking with a business affiliated with our platform, we will provide your name, address, phone number, email address, and language preference to this business. The business needs your information to execute the agreement you have entered into with them and to keep you informed of important information regarding your booking.
If you ask the business a question through the digital communication facility on our platform, the business may call you to answer your question, provided you have entered a phone number.
